ReplyDeleteThanks for this blog. I'm a mother of two soldiers that just graduated this month from Army Basic Training. My oldest son Brent graduated on Dec. 16th,09 from Ft. Benning, Georgia. (Infantry). My other son Robert graduated Dec. 4th, 09 from Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. (Combat Engineer). My oldest just got married the day after Christmas while he is home on leave. (Very busy December). Both of my sons have been home for the holiday. I feel greatful, and blessed. I know it must be hard for those families that were not able to have their son, daughter, husband or dads home for the holidays my heart goes out to you. I want to thank all the families that have loved ones serving in the U.S. Military, You have given a priceless gift. I will be starting my own blog to share my thoughts. I think it will help me to hear from other mothers in similar situations. I will be looking forward to reading more blog entries that you type. Take care and know that my prayers are with you, your family and your Soldier.
